Natural Woods

IPE LAPACHO

 

With a warm, stylish look, Ipe is reputed to be the world’s hardest wood. Visually, it offers up shades that range from brown/olive green to off-red, with light and dark streaks. 

Like all natural woods, it is affected by sunlight, which tends to even the colour out over time, making it turn grey.To combat the effects of ageing, the original colour can be reinstated through the use of specific oils, which should be applied once or twice a year.

Ipe is a relatively oily wood with an extremely high level of internal density, making it highly resistant.

ANGELIM AMARGOSO

 

Angelim Amargoso  is a noble South American wood with a warm, amber colour similar to teak. When correctly laid it is among the most stable, reliable and high-performing of natural woods for decking, even though it is also very attractively priced.

Its superb performance, combined with its understated, subtle aesthetics, have made Angelim Amargoso one of the natural woods most widely used around the world in exterior spaces.

TEAK

 

This noble species, which comes from Indonesia and Myanmar, is water-repellent, and resistant to salt deposits and atmospheric agents. It is highly robust and compact while at the same time being smooth and easy to work.

With a golden colour and a characteristic fragrance, it is a particularly suitable choice for prestigious, private spaces. Its durability, stability and good looks make it one of the preferred options for refined exterior spaces.
